"a lil bit of change" is a commitment to civic literacy. ALBC believes that cognizance of civic literacy extends beyond knowledge of government and reaches into the knowledge of how to initiate and participate in actions that cause change within one's community.

Public service, as exhibited through the creation of content based on social, economic and political themes of responsibility, is "a lil bit of change." Inclusive in ALBC's mission is the understanding of how knowledge of current events shapes the present before it shapes our future. As such, we seek to present content that addresses issues critical to our communities in a manner that is comprehensive, yet concise.
