Alvin Jornada is a freelance editorial and documentary photographer based in Santa Rosa, California. He combines his camera work with diverse life experiences, a global marketing background and being an avid scholar of history to create images and multimedia work. Alvin provides complete photography and multimedia production services to media and commercial clients.
Alvin’s work has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle / SFGate.com; Wine Spectator; The Press Democrat / PDPreps.com; California Riding Magazine; international advertisements, signage and catalogs for Think Tank Photo; regional advertisements for Meijer stores; The Herald-Palladium; Adventist Review; Focus; as well as numerous international and domestic advertising circulars. His clients have included Michel-Schlumberger Wine Estate, Community First Credit Union, Bistro des Copains, Windsor Fire Protection District, Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport, Johnson-Rauhoff, Inc. and Think Tank Photo.
Alvin earned a B.S. in Media Technology with an Emphasis in Photography from Andrews University. Through different college programs, Alvin traveled and photographed in Kenya, Brazil, Ecuador, The Galapagos Islands, Iceland, Norway and other areas. Those journeys, along with others later in life, instilled in him a concern for cultural issues and a wanderlust that exists to this day.
