I was about to pay for the pro account on vimeo, hoping to put subtitles using a .srt file and there is no option for that AT ALL? in three years this has not been done? c'mon... are you serious?

We are working on a 12-Episode docu-series, and are hoping to launch in up to 100 languages, and have a web-version available. .SRT subtitle support would be a very important feature when considering which service to use for this. We would pay for it.
