I just graduated from a BA Graphic Arts and Design course from Leeds Metropolitan University.
I like to do experimental film and animation. I document my work through the means of photography; film, digital and analogue (Super 8), using techniques such as pixallation and stop-motion animation.
I am interested in visual arts that are nearer to music because they stimulate more senses than just sight. Having played the violin for 13 years and having lived with people who produce electronic music, it came naturally to me take my work in the direction of ‘Visual Music.’
I like making music videos and title sequences for short films. I am also interested in using my work in visual performances of some kind e.g. a VJ sets. I would also like to explore how expanding the moving image work into the physical space or to a more sculptural space as an installation, would affect the viewer as a producer of meaning rather than just as a consumer of the imagery.
