Considering micro-moments saturated with multiple perspectives, my work transgresses the boundaries between contemporary art and documentary. Still and moving images invite viewers to linger and examine their own experience, positionality, and belief.
I teach in the Department of Art and Art History at Elon University, where my artworks make use of digital, photographic, and time-based studio techniques. Research and teaching are, for me, about people and the intrinsic value of their experiences. My work stems from my belief that human beings from all walks of life are important.
