Anthony Johns is an East Coast based filmmaker and digital media artist. He works at the intersection of experimental video, new media, and documentary film. Anthony has designed video projections for internationally performing artists. His works have screened at Gensler Architecture. Some of his previous pieces include Atmos (2009), a short experimental, which was nominated and screened at the 2010 Diamond Screen festival and Dia (2011), an experimental dance video, which was nominated and screened at the 2012 Diamond Screen festival. Working in documentary, Anthony blends vérité methods with modern creative methods. Recently he has worked as cinematographer with director Cameron Mitchell on a documentary for the Greater Philadelphia Film Office. Anthony continues to explore the blending of digital new media with documentary film to create new ways of visual storytelling.
Currently, he is working as editor whilst completing work on an interactive MAX/MSP/Jitter installation.
