Anuj holds a Masters in Film from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts Asia. He has written for, and directed a broad range of short form content, which includes commercials, short films, documentaries and music videos.
In 2013, he worked with BBH Singapore to produce and direct the pilot episode for MaCanCook Singapore, a series of interactive cooking sessions. The episode was broadcast live on Google Hangout. Prior to that, he wrote and directed a music video for Singaporean nu-metal band Flawed Element, which helped launch their first album.
Anuj's commercial work also includes directing a web-commercial for Moscow based production house, Park Productions. His last short film, Manila Running, premiered at the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival 2012 and won best film at the NYU First Run Film Festival 2012. It also garnered awards for achievement in directing, editing, producing, cinematography and acting. His short films have screened at over 20 film festivals worldwide, including Singapore, USA, Australia, Georgia, Spain, Italy, France, Philippines, Ireland and Taiwan.
Anuj's films has received accolades from the Singapore National Library Board and the British Council Singapore. He continues to juggle his time between writing, directing and editing for projects that tell stories, convey a message and challenge conventions at the same time.
