I was born in Ukraine, grew up in New York and have been on the move ever since. I have never really been able to leave Nepal, though, since I got there in 2003 on a whim. Eventually I got a degree in journalism and am now studying photojournalim at the University of Texas in Austin, trying to develop my video story telling skills.

My mission is to understand and document, focusing on indigenous rights, subcultures, the transition between tradition and modernity, and music. I care a lot about youth movements, justice, and activism. I hope to use my visual storytelling skills to teach people how to tell their stories, realize their dreams, and create change wherever they see a need.

I am based in Kathmandu, Nepal and am passionately involved in emerging alternative journalism movement there.
