It's amazing to see the contrast between seasons here. In summer the sun is so harsh it burns everything and the landscape turns brown. In winter, when we get loads of rain, a miraculous transformation takes place and everything turns lush and green again. So different to the East coast where most of the rainfall is in Summer. Where we live now up in the hills, most days there is a magical fog shrouding the valley and in the air the smell of smoke from peoples wood fires. (I love winter!) At the very end of the clip is a zoomed shot of Perth city from our backyard. Tiny isn't it?
