When the flip module for the Depth-Of-Field adapters came out, Steve and Jens decided that they needed something to support it. By combining parts from other Zacuto products, they created the Z-Riser to adjust the height of lightweight rods for cameras with high lens mounts (like the RED). Most Depth-Of-Field adapters, such as the Letus35, Brevis and Redrock M2, require the Z-Riser. It includes 4.5” female rods and attaches to 15mm lightweight rods with standard 60mm spacing between the rods. This allows operators to rise or lower the rods to accommodate accessories such as a matte box or follow focus.
