Andrew Young is an award winning filmmaker and co-founder of Archipelago Films, a New York based production company. Young’s work has received an Academy Award nomination, multiple Emmy Awards and the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Apart from having directed 20 documentaries, including Children of Fate, Cutting Loose, Americanos, Madagascar: a world apart and Glacier Bay: Alaska’s wild coast, Young is an award winning cinematographer. He has earned the Excellence in Cinematography prize at Sundance three times as well as an Emmy Award and three Emmy nominations for Cinematography and the Cinematography Prize at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival. His work has been exhibited theatrically and on HBO, Cinemax, National Geographic, the BBC and PBS.
