It's a made up compound word that sums up what I do.
When I don’t have a camera smashed up against my face or am not waxing on about non verbal communication and Visual Thinking, or playing with Sadie, I like to read, cook, watch tv and sip gin. I have been referred to as having an aura of awesome. A moniker I will take, thank you kindly.
Before launching Ars Magna, I taught high school art and then went into museum education, living it up as a teaching artist at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the San Diego Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. It was a treasured time in my life, haunting galleries in the mornings, showing school children how to talk about what they were seeing and being consistently covered in flecks of tempera paint and smudges of graphite.
