    I think NYU journalism school should investigate on these unethical marketing practice where the users are not aware these hidden beacon images and scripts. Somebody should report it.

    Cemal, comscore beacon scripts still track people who play your vimeo videos. Those 3rd browser plugins only disable and block your tracking records. These companies track anybody that runs the script in the background—so with these information they can market the crap out of you. The most unethical part of these kind of marketing practices is that nobody is informed—and those companies like it that way. It also sucks because these scripts often will slow down your website loading time. In any case—it lame—but you have to live with it. These are marketing firms that sells your info so that they know what to sell you when you are browsing. Trust me, it's unethical.
