Arthur has more than 10 years of experience as a writer, director, and line producer. His latest film, "Found In Time," won the Best Sci-Fi Feature award at the 2012 Shriekfest Film Festival, and also screened at the Eerie Horror Festival, Nevermore Film Festival, the Tri-Cities Fantastic Film Festival, Boston Sci-Fi, Phoenix/International Horror & Sci-Fi Fest, and Imagine Film Festival. His first non-fiction book, "Preparing For Takeoff" (on the art and science of preproduction), was just published in February 2013 by Focal Press.
His first feature, "Caleb’s Door" (psychological drama), is distributed on DVD and VOD through Around the Scenes. Arthur has also directed several experimental shorts, which have screened in art galleries and festival in London, Germany, Europe, Texas, California, and New York City.
Arthur also line produced or UPMed over a dozen feature films, as well as numerous shorts, industrials, second unit shoots, and music videos. The features he's worked on have screened at the Tribeca, Riverrun, Sundance, Slamdance, SXSW, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Lake Placid, Woodstock, and other festivals, and gone on to theatrical, DVD and cable distribution.
Arthur is the president of Chaotic Sequence, an independent production company dedicated to producing shorts, features, and other projects.
Arthur's spec script "The Witches' Road" was a finalist at the Bridge International, WriteMovies, AceFest, and Exposurama competitions, and a semi-finalist in the Austin Film Festival.
Arthur has guest lectured at New York University, the School of Visual Arts, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Hunter College (CUNY), Brooklyn College, Montclair State University, and the Art Institutes of New York, and holds a B.F.A. in Film and Television Production from New York University.
