AV-arkki, the Distribution Centre for Finnish Media Art was founded in 1989. AV-arkki’s main purpose is to distribute Finnish media art and experimental films and video to festivals, events, museums and galleries worldwide. AV-arkki offers events individual works and curated compilations. Av-arkki has a distribution archive and online service of over 1400 titles, which is open to curators, researchers, teachers, critics and artists.

AV-arkki has been a pioneering distributor of Finnish media art and experimental moving image for over 20 years and has opened up important opportunities for artists to get their works recognized internationally. The activities of AV-arkki have contributed to the success that Finnish media art enjoys today. These activities are unique in both Finland and the other Nordic countries.
