Co-Owner & Creative Director of Opening Ceremony, Humberto began his career with a sales position at the Gap while studying Art History at the University of California, Berkeley. Eventually moving into merchandising, Humberto soon assumed the role of Visual Director of the Gap and contributed to the opening of Old Navy. After leaving the Gap, Humberto took part in the revitalization of Burberry as Director of Visual Merchandising. In 2002, he left corporate fashion to begin Opening Ceremony where he oversees all creative aspects of the company from the design of the private label collection, to collaborations, merchandising, and buying. In July 2011, French luxury group LVMH appointed Humberto as Co-Creative Director of Kenzo.
