I grew up in Boulder, Colorado, where I was fortunate to be surrounded by people that nurtured and helped me to develop a strong connection to nature and the outdoors. My passion for science resulted in a M.S. in Microbiology from Colorado State University and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Regensburg, Germany. After having spent years in research, I finally made the decision to pursue my dream of science and nature filmmaking. Currently, I am a MFA candidate in the Science & Nature Filmmaking program at Montana State University – Bozeman. I feel very strongly about raising public awareness of scientific issues. In addition, many of my passions lie in sociopolitical issues (environment, conservation, human rights, etc.).
