bedroom POP star!
i'm a rabid music fan with an ear for aural exploits & a penchant for d.i.y. ethos. i love hearing the slight imperfections & naïvité of a "non-studio engineered" recording. ie, there is such thing as over-production.
i'm a believer in tangible music. vinyl & cds--both mediums that exist in real space. there's something about the ritual of placing a record on a turntable/putting a compact disc in a player that eludes the so-called convenience of the mp3. i think pete townshend said it best/roger daltrey sang it best : see me, feel me, touch me, heal me.
i was [1/2] half of [and songwriter for] the indie pop duo THE JEALOUS SEA [2006-2011]. i have released songs through cloudberry records, series two, pop song romance, eardrums pop, ETC & am currently working on material for my neuest indie pop project to be released on the bedroom POP star! label. so stay tuned!
