Black Magic Motorsports
Black Magic Motorsports has been around since the mid '90s, shortly after the release of NASCAR 2. The team started as a spinoff of a larger team, but was dormant for a few years, until the release of NASCAR 2002.
Some of the team's original members included Joel Putty, Chris Thompson, CW Webster, and Justin Kirby. Black Magic has been involved in various leagues, including VRW, Flashpoint, and NEORA/ISRA. The team was successful, but was unable to sustain it due to instability in the sim racing world at the time. With no central entity for sim racers to gravitate towards, groups and leagues splintered in different directions.
Enter 2008.
iRacing has become the largest sim racing event since the Total Entertainment Network and the days of NROS. Despite the fragmentation that occurred, Brent Kirby has kept the team's name alive and with the coming of iRacing, Black Magic Motorsports is stepping up its efforts to become one of the best teams out there, and to help and support those in search of speed.
We are Black Magic Motorsports.
