Patrick Weishampel first became interested in making images early on when his grandmother gave him a Kodak Instamatic camera for his birthday. He decided to make it his profession, and over the last ten years he's been making short films, video installations, and feature length documentaries that have been screened from the far east to the west coast. Besides directing independently produced films such as transfer he has edited commercials and programs for OPB, as well as feature length documentaries such as Finding Face, which won best documentary at the San Diego Asian Film Festival and was an official selection at the Festival du Film et Forum International Sur les Droits Humains in Switzerland, the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, and the San Francisco Documentary Film Fest. Currently Patrick is the multimedia designer for Portland Center Stage.
