I work with filmmaker Pamela Robertson-Pearce in filming readings by poets from around the world published by Bloodaxe Books. Thirty of these films are featured on the world's first poetry DVD-book, IN PERSON: 30 POETS, published by Bloodaxe in May 2008 to make the press's 30th birthday. This features 6 hours of readings on two DVDs with an accompanying anthology containing all the work read by the poets. We are continuing to film our poets and will be posting films on Vimeo both from IN PERSON as well as new work. We are also showing a 45-minute film (featuring 20 poets from our archive reading their work) at various independent cinemas, arts festivals and other venues around Britain and Ireland this year.
