Hello! I'm an Art Director for web/interactive at a large media company in the Washington, DC metro area. I also make music. My objective here is to make and share pithy "poems" with moving images and sound.

I haven't explored this medium since making a couple of short 8mm films in art school, many years ago. It was there that I saw the short films "Powers of Ten," by Ray and Charles Eames, and "Meshes of the Afternoon," by Maya Deren, in a film class, and I was awakened to the idea that a film could invite the viewer on an engaging and cerebral journey that went beyond mere entertainment.

I don't really own a true video camera or sophisticated video editing software and for me that's fine for now. I'm simply trying to exploit what I have - working with it's strengths and it's weaknesses to see what unfolds. As of this writing I'm using the HD capabilities of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 compact still camera and the Canon EOS 7D.
