Nicholas Coyle
I started my grand adventure into filmmaking when I got a video camera for my birthday as a kid. I shot many things with it, but I didn't get serious with filmmaking until high school when I decided to shoot a feature length film, called Project Derelict for my senior project. It took me several years to complete, but I finished on time. For that project I used a cheap Sony Handicam and edited on Final Cut Pro.
I now reside in Boulder, where I go to CU for film. Since coming to CU, I have transitioned completely over to 16mm film because I believe it is a technically and aesthetically superior medium... And I don't want it to die. I almost always process my own film, and have used the optical printer very often.
