An explorer, filmmaker and water advocate, Alexandra Cousteau continues the work of her grandfather Jacques-Yves Cousteau and her father Philippe Cousteau, Sr. In addition to being a National Geographic Emerging Explorer and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, Alexandra works to highlight the importance of local action on water issues through Blue Legacy International, a DC-based non-profit she co-founded with friend and fellow social entrepreneur Jonathan Smith in 2008.
