England hadn’t seen such a beautiful day in years. The sun was out, the flowers in bloom and the streets were so full of merry people that you could hardly walk. The words “royal wedding” were on everyone’s lips. For the first time, Tom Jones’ “Love is in the Air” made perfect sense. What a magnificent feeling!
On that very day, a boy and a girl sat inside a big aeroplane ready to fly back to South Africa after a very memorable holiday. The girl was sad, because she would be stuck in a ridiculously small space with no contact with the outside world, while Prince William and his bride share their infamous first kiss on the balcony.
The girl and boy looked at each other. It was a sad affair that such a wonderful holiday had come to an end. And they really weren’t all that excited to return to the same old 9 to 5 life.
The plane took off and England became smaller and smaller. The girl peered through the window in the hope to see a little figure in a white dress, but all she could see were grey buildings and fluffy clouds. Then, out of the blue, she experienced a light bulb moment. “We should make wedding videos!” said the girl.
“That is a brilliant idea!” said the boy. “You studied video production and love telling peoples’ stories and I am really good with everything technical.”
Suddenly the boy and girl didn’t feel so sad anymore. They were excited to go home and share in many more wonderful stories about boys meeting girls…and “royal” weddings!
