Bo Hakala is a Minneapolis based director of photography. He has over 7 years experience shooting commercials, music videos, short films and features. Bo received training at the University of Iowa and at Columbia College Chicago where he recieved his BA in Filmmaking. He has strong sense of visual storytelling that he brings to all his projects. A feature film titled “Stuck Between Stations” starring Sam Rosen and Zoe Lister Jones with Josh Hartnett and Michael Imperioli is due out soon. Hakala’s recent work includes national spots for Subaru, Rapala and Best Buy. In addition to recently finishing a History Channel documentary that took him to four continents in three months, Bo also recently wrapped a co-production of National Geographic and Nova that took him to Easter Island and Hawaii.
