4 months agoBrent Heber commented on Speaker calibration for Film and TV Sound MixingDaniel - don't overthink it! This calibration "recipe" is already taking pan law into account - pan laws are always 3dB in surround so its doesnt need to be mentioned or accounted for here.
One channel at a time, as per the video. Each front channel should individually register 79dB when "soloed", the rears which should be 76 and the LFE should be 83.
This is dependent on room size - this video is for small rooms, edit suites. A larger room might be a few dB more on each channel, proportionally always the same however.
