Even at f2.8 you can set a lens to it's hyperfocal distance and the depth of field will be infinitely deep beyond a certain distance. with the Tokina 11-16, it's about 10'. The Canon 14mm f2.8 has an amazing hyperfocal distance of 3' to infinity.
