My paintings are spontaneous, naive and positive and that has a lot to do with my personality. I hear too many people complain in general. My work led me to many places and I’ve seen a lot of misery. But despite all that misfortune, the people affected often remain strong and positive in life. That attitude and hope inspire me to create joyful things rather than to illustrate and repeat negativity. I want to show a brighter side and cause smiles wherever I can.
I’m basically a big kid that finds it cool to make stuff for other kids. I don’t make highbrow art, but people find it fun. It doesn’t matter which background or profession you have, people can identify with my work or associate themselves with it. My paintings are mellow. They’re not conceptual nor political and I don’t do propaganda. It’s just fun!
