Rick Tetz has been in the skateboard industry for over 30 years. Rick opened his first shop, SkateCentral in North Vancouver early 1978 after working for Northwest Skateboard Distribution. In 1980 Rick won first place in Freestyle at the Canadian Nationals his sponsors included Sims, Gullwing, Vans, Wings and Rector. Rick was the first skater to defeat Powell Freestyler Kevin Harris at the Canadian National Championships. A goal Rick had been trying to reach for years.

Next CalStreets was born, a 3500 square foot Vintage 1930 Bank Building with over 1100 decks on the wall. Quite insane for 1980! The largest skateshop of its time in Canada. Currently CalStreets.com has moved to an online Vintage Skate Archive of old school adverts and original Canadian skate talent from 70's and 80's. Rick currently works with WebLAB and Concrete Wave magazine promoting, sponsoring, skate events and longboarding to the masses and yes Still skating at 50!
