Lower GOP means a more editable file, because more information is captured directly vs predictively (since there's an i-frame every 6 frames rather than every 15). If I remember right, I tried it at 3, but it was too unstable and kept crashing, so I upped

I think it's due to the specific hack I was using. That's my guess anyway, since I didn't do anything in post to get rid of it.
