With over 30 years working in television I'm not what you would consider "young", although I still love what I do, which is making video programs for a wide range of clients. My career started with film editing - as in the real 16mm stuff - for news and current affairs programs in Melbourne, Australia. Over the years I started directing, writing and shooting stuff. Left broadcast TV in the early 90's to just stick with custom-made productions; it's nice to have people actually welcome you into their homes or workplaces. And every project is different - one day shooting in a mine, the next filming people with dementia or kids in kinder.

    Doesn't film look great!! Good grading too. It's always instructive to revisit after a year or so; I think you'll probably want to tighten up some of the walkout/walkin cuts and personally, I'd like to see a few more frames on the head of the balloon-release shot. Good work Karen.

    Theis, agree with your first comment but your speakers must have been turned down. I thought the sound track was as brilliant as the movie, little touches like the lights switching on and the sound diminishing with distance - totally professional!! The music was suitably menacing.
