I'm Carol. I'm videomaker. This is the perfect job for a "voyeurs" like me. I am a compulsive observer and I always found a lot of histories, locations and ideas while I am walking the streets of Barcelona.
I have worked 10 years as a video editor for many companies and ad agencies and the last four years as a video maker and camera operator too.
Most of time I have made very formal company videos but the last 2 years I have been doing more creative videos for small business, entrepeneurs and startups. I am especially happy with videos has been created under "Vídeotrueque" project, because these videos has been created entirely by me and directly with the customer.
I have had the opportunity to carry on the idea, the screenplay, locations, directing actors, editing and graphics. I have started filming with DSLR cameras. I want to understand the ways to work with these cameras although I don´t consider myself a camera operator. I love to have control of the whole process and I enjoy since finding the music until making the color correction.
I am feel more comfortable and happy with these kind of videos although I have a low budget to carry them out. I have done some documentaries, makings of, trailers, and short films and I always enjoy with this kind of works too.
I have a lot of experience too in the usual business videos in order to explain products and services. I have made too videos for a internal use like motivate sales teams, give information to the workers about new rules or changes in the company. Videos to celebrate companies anniversaries or show the results in the annual summary. In these works, I have had to follow the guidelines to the comunication agency.
In every video, I specify what has been my responsabilities. I worked both like an employed and freelance. I worked too like a coolhunter and self-employed with Videotrueque´s project where I looked for my own customers to work directly
I work daily with Final cut (editing) Color Correction, Compressor, Adobe Media Encoder, Mpegstream (transcode) After effects, Photoshop and Illustrator (graphics). I sometimes use Prootools (noise corrections but I usually hire a audio editor) DVD Studio Proo (Nowadays I rarely burn a dvd)
