We are a local body of believers endeavoring to be faithful to the Word of God. In this present religious environment, we use labels to identify each other – Methodist, Baptist, Catholic, Emergent, Reformed…on and on the list goes. The term “Christian” has been applied to a broad range of ideologies, everything from an ethnic group in Serbia to weird and strange cults here in America. No one knows what is meant when the term “Christian” is used anymore. We are definitely “Christians” in that we follow Christ. Yet, we don’t want to be confused with the fans of cultural Christianity so popular in America today and so we call ourselves Adonaic Christians – we worship Jesus, the Christ, as Lord and Master. We do not view the Bible as simply a storybook to be read in Sunday school, but we apply the truths contained to every part of our lives. We use it as our standard of justice, our model of conduct and our guide to culture. We are willing to follow the Master’s teachings even when they are unpopular. We have been criticized as being “too hard core”. We accept that as a compliment. As the missionary C.T Studd once said: “If Jesus Christ is God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.”
If you too “consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus (Phil. 3:8)”, then we invite you to come join us. Let us serve the Master together!
