Conditional Design

We're starting a crowd sourced video experiment for a music video where we will be updating a video over time until it is finished. This would mean server side rendering of a video file (a couple of times a day) and automatically uploading it to Vimeo replacing the older version of the video. I checked out the upload api, but the video_id seems to be returned only after uploading.. Is it possible to include the video_id and have it replace a video?
