Chris Todd conducts creative experiments involving a wide variety of material, conceptual, and computational processes. His projects are poetic departures from the dominate ideologies of progress, which assume humans have an innate "need" (real, imaginary, or constructed) to escape the messy complexities of corporeal existence and that we best rely on either technocultural innovation or psychospiritual enlightenment to somehow help us achieve liberation from the ordinary.
As an educator, Chris focuses on community engagement, collaborative pedagogy, fostering creative intelligence, and solving media illiteracy.
Chris' work has found its way into various exhibition spaces, museums, public/commercial sites, and publications. He currently teaches digital art and design in the Phoenix metro area.
