    Instead of virtual dice, how about using real ones surface can read the face's of [of course it would read the bottom but from that... shape recognition for the kind of dice and character for the number] if the die rolls off it have it so the program recognizes that and a simple multiple choice screen comes up that players can select their rolls totals from quickly with a tap rather than having to re-roll.
