Chuck and Karen are giving two workshops in conjunction with the Carolina Cup. On Friday, April 29 at 4:30, there will be an advanced paddle clinic for those seeking tips and refinements for the race the following day. On Sunday, May 1 at 9am, there is a Beginners Workshop for people who are just starting out and want to learn correct technique from two of the best paddlers on Earth.

Coastal Urge presents the 2nd Annual Intracoastal SUP Cup and Waterman's Challenge. The race was hosted at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach, NC on May 15th 2010.
Last month, stand up paddler Karen Wrenn became the first person to paddle between all 8 of the Channel Islands, consecutively, off the coast of Southern California.
Rough seas, inclement weather, long distances and sealife with mighty big teeth were some of the challenges she had to overcome to make the crossing.
“After he heard me talking about paddling the Channel Islands, my husband asked me if I was serious,” Wrenn said. “My answer was simple, why wouldn’t I?”
