Being Cornish I always love to head back home. I was worried as the summer had been more like winter. Luck was on Matt and Chris’s side and after some absolutely horrid weather the sun decided to show its face and provide a heat wave. It was scorching!!!
To make it better the wedding took place at the absolutely beautiful Rosteague, Portscatho, Cornwall. After so much rain there was nothing better than to feel the full force of the sun while looking over a Cornish Cliff shooting super 8.
A lovely buffet was finished off with the most beautiful cake by Emily Hankins (emilyhankins.co.uk). This film really doesnt show how stunning these cakes were.
The night was finished off with a spot of dancing to a surprise Abba tribute band.
Cameras: Nizo 801 / Canon 1014xls / Canon 310xl
Film: Kodak 100d / Kodak Vision 3 200t / Kodak Vision 3 500t / Kodak Tri X Black and White.
This video was my wedding present for my good friends Andy and Jess.
This good old Cornish knee’s up was Shot at the very unique Crasken Eco Farm, Helston, Cornwall (craskenfarm.com), on a Nizo 801 super 8 cine camera. It was shot to edit with a belly full of Cornish Ale and two & a half reels of film; one and half reels of Kodak Tri-x, and one Kodak Ektachrome 64t.
I then added the digitized footage to Final Cut pro and done some minor tweaking. Removing a few of my drunk shots and shifting a few clips to fit the music, although luckily a lot was actually in time.
