In November 2009 Julian McDonnell (that's me) set out with a group of scientists to the uninhabited Phoenix Islands in the Pacific to help save endangered species of birds. Dr. Graham Wragg asked Julian to make a film about the work they do, in exchange for offering Julian free passage to Pitcairn Island for a later documentary. Despite having a legal document, local councils still prosecute them and make it hard for them to carry out their trade.
