This is my latest video work under the 3 pronged attack for The Proclaimers commissioned through Universal. We spent 4 days travelling through the highlands taking timelapse sequences using Nikon D300s in the rain, wind, snow and sun. The performance was shot on DVCPRO HD with sections shot using the video mode on a Nikon d90 stills camera.
This was a setbuild in Kentish Town Studios built and designed by Yasmin Al-Naib. The performance video of Hamel shown on the TV was shot and directed separately by Clements Habicht. The actors on set were Virginia Barrett (Mum), Adrian Francis (Dad), Haydn Cox (Son) and Lauren Newling (Daughter). Makeup by Kylie McBeth; Styling by Anna Pichowski; Production Manager Rebecca Coley; Gaffer Chris Hill; 1st AD Eduardo Trowse; 2nd Ad Helier Bissel-Thomas…
Our updated version of Poison Prince for Amy Macdonald under The 3 Pronged Attack commissioned through Dan Curwin at Mercury. We shot it over a couple of days on tour with Amy in Stockholm and Oslo using DVCPRO HD HVX200s for their slow motion ability. On top of this we shot a gig in the town of Troon, Scotland using a 6 camera set again on DVCPRO HD. Amy, the label and management were very happy with the outcome.
We originally shot this for a live video to be used on the web but they like it and so decided to use it for the actual promo. We are happy with the way we caught the band's personality.
We made this video for The Cribs, they cameo in at the end, for their single I'm a Realist. Shot in a flat in east London its a story of unrequited love.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
