    In honor of American Indian & Alaska Native Heritage Month
    Johnny Moses is a Tulalip Native American raised in the remote Nuu-chah-nulth village of Ohiat on the west coast of Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. He was raised in the traditional ways by his grandparents, and sent by his elders to share their teachings with all people. Johnny is a master storyteller, oral historian, traditional healer and respected spiritual leader.

    In honor of Veterans Day
    Becky “Beck” Halstead was selected to attend West Point in 1977--entering with the second class of women, and being the first kid from her hometown to graduate from West Point. Blessed to be the first female graduate of West Point to be promoted to General Officer in 2004, Becky served and commanded in combat as the first female Commanding General at the strategic level of leadership in Iraq, leading 20,000 Soldiers and 5,000 civilians from 2005 to 2006--a first for our Army and our Nation. In 2007 Becky received the National Women’s History Project award for “Generations of Women Moving History Forward”.
