My take on the state of Scottish film making filmed for the BBC just before I left the country to come to USA to pursue my career. My criticism is basically that the industry there has no idea what a film is required to do and really are not interested in finding out.
Factotum Films is a film production company based in Scotland. The founding members are Shaun Hughes, Tim Courtney and Caroline Smith. So far we specialise in short films with an arthouse aesthetic, though we have plans to move into feature film production in the future.
