FDT can certainly be used with Flash Professional to profile your SWFs.
For now, the best way to do this is to create an ANT task to automate this for you.

If you use FDT, definitly get to know Quick Access. It's perhaps the best way to open and navigate views, editors,preferences, perspectives and even start commands.
Start Quick Access with CMD/CTRL +3
