Rhiwbina Civic Society staged an exhibition on past and present memories of the village to celebrate the Civic Trust for Wales' Open Doors weekends. The society reprinted Wynford Davies' book on the history of the garden village, supported by his son Andrew Davies who grew up in the village.

    'A Scrapbook of Memories' paints a picture of how the village grew from a rural idyll to the busy suburb of Cardiff that is Rhiwbina today. Using old photos, cine films, events of the past year and interviews with residents, the full 32 minute film is now available on DVD.

    Rhiwbina Village Plaque Unveiling

    Society members gathered with other villagers for the unveiling of an interpretive history and map of the garden village. Rhiwbina is acclaimed as the best example of a preserved garden village in the Principality. The board and two new directional finger posts were also added by the sponsors - Cardiff County Council.
