Undefeated to the gold bracket finals, 3 days of play and only tested a couple times. This will be a match that will be remembered by everyone for quite a while. 3 days of hard work, undefeated all the way to the gold bracket final, only to let a Junior Olympic Qualification barely slip through our fingers. In the semi's and cruising, until we ran into Southwest Asics and their 6'8" middle blocker, yes, a 16 year old girl who was 6'8" and played middle blocker front row and left back in the back row. Coming out of the gate fast with some good serves and great offense we beat'em up the first game and seemed to be in control. Unfortunately for us, with a defensive sub for the 6'8" middle, Southwest Asics bounced back and gave us a taste of our own medicine…
Ariana moves from the right side into the starting setter and outside hitter position. Playing this spot for the first time on our 16Elite she goes on to have a breakout match vs Mavericks to help move our team up into Division 2 in the SCVA 16's Division. Hitting over .500 for the 2 game match, digging everything she touched and setting butter Ari has raised her game to a new level of play yet again.

After seeing Hawaii knock off the #1 overall seed, Encinitas Wave, in the first match of pool play, our girls had to dig deep to step up and take care of business. In an exciting 2 game match we saved Wave's hopes at remaining a top seed and solidified our own as well, beating Hawaii and securing a top 2 finish on our first day of play.
Ariana has been one of our premier players for the last few seasons. Running the starting setting position last year on our top 28 SCVA 16's team who were also finalists in the Denver JO qualifier, semi-finalists in the Dallas JO qualifier and finished 21st playing up in the 17's division in the Las Vegas classic she has established herself as one of the premier all around players in SoCal. And she accomplished all of this

And she accomplished all of this just last season, as an eight grader. Now after running the co-starting setting position on her varsity CIF finalist team, she steps up into the top division of the 18's and looks to contribute in every facet to our 18Elite teams pursuit of JO qualification and top local ranking.
