Here is a behind the scenes look at how we shot some of the test footage for "Epic #308" (vimeo.com/24859321)
Thanks to Kessler University KesslerU.com for sponsoring the making of this behind the scenes footage. The project would not have been possible without their support. The test was shot in California, from Big Sur, to Ft Bragg back through Mono Lake and Death Valley.

A short film made at the Cotswold Wildlife Park in Burford, Oxon. This was made using a Flip camera, filmed during an hour wondering around the park one afternoon in January. It's a no-tripod, point and shoot situation and as such has clear issues - the most obvious one being the sound quality. However, improved sound looks to be within reach with the release of a new external mic system from Blue Microphones called 'Mikey'...watch this space.
All told though, the Flip is a really useful gizmo. As long as you can get its battery to charge!
Many thanks to Lauren and Carole for letting me film.
A film commissioned by the charity DIPEx to promote their award winning website, www.healthtalkonline.org. The film features Hugh Grant, Philip Pullman, Dr Jonathan Miller and Jenni Murray among others.
Healthtalkonline offers anyone touched by ill health the chance to access real stories told openly and honestly by individual people suffering from illness or looking after someone else who is. Healthtalkonline, and its sister website, Youthhealthtalk, is free to access and dependent on donations and grant funding. DIPEx has plans to cover all major diseases and health conditions in order to help both ordinary people and the medical profession better understand how the experience of illness on individual people affects them.
