Family workshop held at Turner Contemporary. Silhouette animation, combining cut-out & sand; participants were given the choice of animating against either a flatbed lightbox or the sea-view window at the centre.

What relationships do coastal residents have with the sea?
Through an exciting programme of events, this 18 month project aims to reveal the local stories, history, myths and personal narratives of the people and places associated with the Thanet coast, turning the tales into imaginative animations that will be screened in the new Turner Contemporary gallery as part of our Animation Festival in 2012.
