Sea Whispers Turner Contemporary Animation

Silhouette animation created by young people as part of the Sea Whisperers project. Participants made the artwork, story, animation & sounds. They used the sea-view window to animate on; the magnificent view of the Margate seascape serves as the perfect backdrop for their story. The 3 hour workshop was led by Reza Ben Gajra & supported by Greg Lawrence.

Sea Shanty Sing Song 11.12.10

On 11-12 December 2010 we were joined by Skinners Rats and the Whitstable's Shipwright Shanty Crew to celebrate the great sailor sea shanty tradition, as part of our Sea Whisperers project. They took to the deck and immersed us in a past world of sails, ropes rigging and grog.
