This is a track that I made for my spider trax dolly. You can attach it to a tri-pod or K-pod and it can be made with simple tools like a few wrenches and a saw. So we decided to put together a DIY SpiderTrax Dolly for fun during the production of Cheesy Cam's original SpiderTrax video dolly. We used a lot of PVC and garden piping to put this dolly together all under $20 (trucks not included). We actually have an original Cheesy Cam's SpiderTrax dolly, which is A LOT more stable and fluid. The problems with our version were jitter from our really cheap camera mount and overall bulkiness. Showing the Canon T2i / 550D with kit lens 18-55mm on a cheap Camera Stabilizer. These are used to minimize movement when walking with your video camera. Not a monopod steadicam design like the Glidecam, this one is more like the Steadicam Merlin design. Price is not bad either, not much more than if you made your own DIY camera stabilizer.
