Palm Springs Unified School District hosted its first DIGICOM Student and Teacher Film Festival on May 4 to celebrate the best videos and films made in all K-12 schools of PSUSD.

The DIGICOM project was established to encourage students and teachers to apply 21st century skills to the creation and publishing of video productions that demonstrate student mastery of academic content standards, support community projects, and promote responsible citizenship.

The evening was hosted by Superintendent Dr. Lorri McCune. Palm Springs Mayor Steve Pougnet introduced the videos made for this year’s theme, “Sustainability”. In addition, the evening showcased the wide variety of video productions made in the schools that reveal how technology has inspired students to be increasingly creative and engaged.
